Antepartum doula services for women who need extra care before the birth of Continuous (24/7 from the start of labor to 1-2 hours after delivery to help parents as needed including breastfeeding encouragement and assessment) emotional, physical and practical support (including comfort measures for use during labor) while mother labors and births her child (dren) advocacy, support between the medical team and woman. In the antepartum period the doula helps the woman identify, create and write a birth plan to be shared with her care providers. Long time experience working with women planning a cesarean or a VBAC. Postpartum care, specializing in overnights, twins and multiples. 20+ years experience working with families at every stage of the childbearing year. Postpartum services include breast feeding support and solutions, infant care, sibling care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, emotional support and referrals to local and internet resources, and most importantly providing the new mother and her family the support they identify they need help with to have a joyous, successful transition into their new family.
