Birth Circle Series: Summer-Fall 2011

Birth Circle
We're excited to announce our first local program, a monthly series of Birth Circles!
A birth circle is a gathering of women.  It's a chance to meet people, to share experience and to ask questions about the journey to motherhood in a supportive, pluralistic environment.  It’s an opportunity to tell your birth story and be heard, to process your birth story in new ways, to listen to a a range of experiences as you prepare to birth your baby, to ask questions about birth, babies and parenting, to connect with other pregnant and new moms in the community, and maybe meet some birth professionals as well.  Each circle will be hosted by a co-sponsoring institution in different locations around the Boston area and will be focussed around a theme.  Check out the FAQ, see the schedule below, and check back for updated information on locations, co-sponsors, and details about the program.

Temple Isaiah

Sunday October 23 - 4:00-5:30 pm

Temple Beth Elohim

Body - Birth is probably the most intensely physical thing most of us will ever do.  What are our bodies doing?  How do we find the strength?  How do we feel about our bodies throughout the process and after birth?

Sunday November 20 - 7:30-9:00 pm

Temple B'nai Brith
